I’ve read Hilter wasn’t really a fan of religion, he just used it to help control the masses.

Thank you for commenting and providing the link.

“The Holy Reich” by Richard Steigmann-Gall. is a very comprehensive book which details the varied religious beliefs and dynamics of the Nazi leadership. If one is interested in seriously looking at the topic.

Historian Richard Carrier is referenced by Steigmann-Gail. It’s been a while since reading “The Holy Reich” but Carrier’s work (link provided) could provide some insight.

One can read plenty of conflicting information concerning Hitler’s personal beliefs. Yet I think we can agree one thing. The claims that Hitler was an atheist are false.

Except for rebuking the claims which comes mostly from fundamentalists I could really care less. I’m sure you’ve heard the arguments used to smear atheists which goes something like “Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot were atheists and look at all the people they killed.” Naturally the similar retort is “Look at all the people killed during the Inquisitions, the Crusades,. and religious wars I think both camps are overlooking a common thread with leads to such atrocities. Personally I think it’s the Authoritarian personality.
