Inhofe: I Found Your Damned Igloo

2 Aug

Inhofe's Igloo

Inhofe, I’m sure you remember the igloo your grandkids constructed and which you made such a big deal about in order to deny global warming.  Here’s a news flash.  Right now in Oklahoma City it’s not even noon and the temperature is already 103 degrees in the shade.  Almost the same as DEATH VALLEY CALIFORNIA.

Anyway I managed to save what’s remains of the igloo for you.  In case you noticed the pool is rather dry…that’s because we are in the middle of an extreme drought around here and the evaporation is fast.  The building material for the igloo lasted about as long as an ice-cube in Hell.

Have a good day and grill baby grill.

Benjy Bronk Wants More Weiner

16 Jun

As Anthony Weiner was announcing his resignation from congress a guy identified as Benjy Bronk, a contributor to the Howard Stern Show was heckling so loudly that Weiner could barely be heard.

Here are some of the statements Benjy shouted:

“Bye-bye, pervert”; “Were you fully erect? The people demand to know”; “Are you more than 7 inches?”; and “Will you maintain your hot physique?”.

Benjy, just one question.  Why don’t you just blow him and find out?

Born Again Christians Get New DNA?

16 Jun

That’s not really such a big surprise.  Such occurrences were commonplace here in Oklahoma.   Just google for Joyce Gilchrist.  Her now discredited career in Oklahoma City made national news about a decade ago.

The speaker in the video is Damon Thompson who correctly assumes his audience will accept his wildly outrageous statements without question.  If such unsubstantiated tales were offered to a more sophisticated crowd he would have been properly jeered and booed off the stage.

Unsurprisingly Thompson hatred of the LGBTQ community is every bit as mind numbing stupid.

Fortunately not everyone is falling for Damon’s bullshit.  Here is a portion of what a young man named Ashton writes:

But when I heard Damon again mere months later at the same church, things had
changed. I had already begun to lose hope that the promises he had made would
ever manifest in reality and, this time, he was unable to stoke the flames and
excitement within me as he had before. Even as he made proclamations of divine
destiny, I found myself disenchanted. And then, when he started railing against
“queers,” I lost all hope that he was any better than his suit-and-tie
counterparts.

“Yeah, I said queer,” he reaffirmed. “It’s time we started calling sin for
what it is and stop trying to make it sound nice!”

I knew that there were people in that sanctuary that very night who were gay.
I knew that there were people there that very night who were lesbian. I knew
that there was at least one person in the church that night who hurting from
self-loathing.

But Damon didn’t, or if he did, he didn’t seem to care. There was no love in
his heart for the ‘homosexual’ (as he otherwise called them). In some ways,
hearing preachers like him constantly talk about ‘homosexuals’ was even worse
than hearing him use the word ‘queer;’ while his enunciation of the word ‘queer’
truly dripped with disgust and revulsion, ‘homosexual’ just sounded cold.
Scientific. Devoid of humanity.

And that’s exactly how preachers like Damon make gay youth feel — less than
human.

I left the service that night with a far different opinion of Damon than I
had held before.

The above quote from Ashton Elijah, a journalism student, is a brilliant and revealing post which is worth reading in its entirety.

In the meantime I dedicate the following picture to Damon Thompson and his fans:

Oklahoma House of Representatives Reprimands KKKern

3 May

Yesterday the Oklahoma House of Representatives voted to reprimand State Rep. Sally Kern (R-Oklahoma City) for derogatory comments she made against racial minorities and women.

Interestingly Kern voted for the reprimand.     I suppose Sally learned that it’s inappropriate to demean both groups she targeted during the debate last week.   Unfortunately it is safe to predict she will run full-throttle in her vicious attacks of sexual minorities.

Sally Kern…Again

28 Apr

The vile homophobic state representative, Sally Kern spoke out again except this time her statements were directed against our black citizens and women.  Here’s what she said:

“Is this just because they’re black that they’re in prison or could it be because they didn’t want to work hard in school?

“I taught school for 20 years and I saw a lot of people of color who didn’t want to work as hard,” she said, reading from notes. “They wanted it given to them.”

Kern must have been enjoying  too much tutoring from  Phyllis Schlafy on how to be a total jackass hypocrite as she (Kern) also dumped on women.

“Women usually don’t want to work as hard as a man,” Kern said. “Women tend to think a little bit more about their family, wanting to be at home more time, wanting to have a little more leisure time.

“I’m not saying women don’t work hard,” she said. “Women like … to have a moderate work life with plenty of time for spouse and children and other things like that. They work very hard but sometimes they aren’t willing to commit their whole life to their job like a lot of men do.”

All of that from someone who insists that she must lecture the rest of us about morality.   No thanks, I’ll accept my values elsewhere.
Today Kern offered an apology which was rightfully rejected by the president of the Oklahoma Chapter of the NAACP.

“You cannot commit racism and then offer an apology for the racist statement that you make,”

The above statements made by Kern  during a debate where she argued in favor of  placing a question on the ballot to eliminate Affirmative Action in Oklahoma.

Preacher to Women: STFU

22 Apr

The contents of the video are beyond description.  Bear in mind this is not from some small backwoods church.  According to the Wikipedia, this megachurch is the largest in the state of Indiana and among the top 50 most influential churches in the United States.
